Containment

Containment and diabetes

Would confinement be kind to our blood sugar curves?

It’s a trend I’ve noticed on social networks linking our community even more strongly lately.

I can now count by the dozen the testimonials of blood sugar levels within target, blood sugar levels without hyper or hypo peaks, in short, good blood sugar levels… and I’m delighted! Our son is following this trend!

So why? We all make less physical effort

If sporting activities are very much encouraged by the numerous “live” events or simply by the need or discipline of each individual, it is essential to evacuate all this confined energy… We’re running out of steps, we’re all in economy mode!

Les émotions sont lissées

Being, by necessity, with our immediate family all day, or confined alone for an undefined period of time in the hyper-anxiety context of Covid 19, forces us to remain calm. We know that the limits are very close, so we naturally ease up on the rules of the game, so that promiscuity or solitude is not a problem.

Nobody’s flawless! I freely admit that day 3 was valve day for us! We took it in turns to get angry, then readjusted our cursors to find a benevolent calm.

Nous mangeons plus, c’est vrai, car les repas sont devenus une activité.

We prepare them because we have the time. We then take the time to share them with you, and it’s a lot of fun! I hope that single people also take the time to look after their meals, by preparing good recipes at least once a day. It’s one of the beautiful parts of our humanity. Recognition goes through the stomach!

Nous grignotons moins !

As part of our commitment to containment, we manage our resources. We all know that over-snacking forces us to go out shopping again, and therefore run the risk of contamination.

Have you also noticed this benevolent approach to blood sugar? I hope you do.

Of course, we can imagine that the curves of diabetic carers and diabetics working to serve us in supermarkets are severely tested. We send you our deepest admiration, respect and courage.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The GLOURS family in full.
